The Kalash 2023 Launch

Get set for a double barrel beer launch as Hop Nation loads up to release the 2023 edition of The Kalash.

Since the first release in 2016, the brewery's annual imperial stout has been a beer that's turned heads and for this vintage they're continuing the theme of recent years where they'll have a 'classic' and 'extra' barrel aged edition.

OG Kalash 2023 has been aged in seasoned bourbon barrels for four months before blending, while a whiskey edition saw the original beer portioned off and aged separately in Bakery Hill Single Malt Whisky barrels.

The official release is happening on June 8 where it'll be your first chance to try the new beers and get your hands on some limited edition Kalash merch and glassware.

In a significant bonus, vertical tasting paddles will be available so you can taste the 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions side by side; needless to say, these ones will be available on a strictly "while stocks last" basis.

If you can't make it for launch night, no worries! They'll be pouting all through the long weekend, with Smokestack BBQ dishing up beer-friendly Texas BBQ smoky goodness on June 9-10, then on June 11 it'll be BAM Street Food be pumping out the burgers. And, of course, June 12 is a public holiday so what better excuse to come raise a glass to the King?
