Weekend best bets: Dreamville, Tracy Morgan and egg hunts

There are a lot of events happening this weekend in the Triangle!

April 1-2: Dreamville Festival - This annual festival was created by Fayetteville native and rapper J. Cole, who will headline the event along with performers including Usher, Ari Lennox and Drake. The sold-out festival is Saturday and Sunday in Dix Park.

March 31: The Glass Jug Beer Lab Anniversary Celebration - The Glass Jug Beer Lab is celebrating its 2-year downtown Durham anniversary with food trucks, special beer releases and more fun.

March 31: Dreamville "50 and Forever" - The event will celebrate 50 years of hip-hop and include a DJ 101 class and panels with 9th Wonder, Ari Lennox and Timbaland at CAM Raleigh. The event is free and open to the public.

April 1: Cary Tacos 'N Taps - This all-you-care-to-taste beer and tequila festival will feature some of the area's best tacos and Mexican food, and live music. There will even be a hot pepper eating contest. The event is Saturday at Booth Amphitheatre from noon to 5 p.m. Taco only tickets are $25, while general admission tickets that include alcohol are $39. VIP tickets are $75.

April 1: Casks on Fools - Crank Arm Brewing will host this annual event on Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. Admission is $20 and includes a commemorative glass and four drink tickets. The beers offered will be unique and unusual casks from over 20 North Carolina breweries.

March 31-April 2: Tracy Morgan - Tracy Morgan is currently on his "No Disrespect" stand up tour across the country. See him on stage at Raleigh Improv Friday through Sunday.

April 1-2: Taylor Tomlinson - Comedian Taylor Tomlinson will perform three shows at Durham Performing Arts Center. It's the latest stop in the "Have It All" tour.

March 31: Durham Bulls Opening Night - The back-to-back reigning Triple-A National Champions will begin the 2023 season Friday night. The Durham Bulls will be playing the Norfolk Tides with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. From 3:30 to 6 p.m., there will be a pre-game party in CCB Plaza with music from DJ Piddipat, free popcorn and cornhole. Following the game, stick around for fireworks at the ballpark.

March 31: GLOW Eggstravaganza Hunt: Head to Durham Central Park on Friday, 5 - 7 p.m. for a unique egg hunt. When you're not chasing eggs, enjoy spring crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny! This is a free event and organized by the YMCA.

April 1: NC Symphony's Carnival of Animals - The symphony will bring the animal kingdom to life with Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals. It will feature larger-than-life puppets, including elephants and sea creatures. The show is at 4 p.m. Saturday at Meymandi Concert Hall.

April 1: Disney-Quest Film Series presents Lady and The Tramp - Enjoy a screening of this classic film on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $8.84 plus taxes and fees.

April 1: Music In the Library: The Every Voice Choir - Enjoy an afternoon of song and performance from the Every Voice Choir, a project of Triangle Disability & Autism Services. This is a free event at the Oberlin Regional Library in Raleigh.

April 1: Spring Eggstravaganza - Head to Lake Benson Park in Garner on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for this event featuring the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, food trucks, music and more fun. Admission is free.

April 1: Carrboro Community Egg Hunt - This celebration will be held at Hank Anderson Community Park from noon to 2 p.m. for children ages 2 to 10 years old.

April 1: Fuquay-Varina Easter Egg Hunt - Head to Fleming Loop Park for this event on Saturday at 10 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be on-site to join in the fun and take photos.

April 1: Wake Forest Easter Egg Hunt - Over 15,000 eggs will be hidden at this year's Easter Egg Hunt in Wake Forest on Saturday. The egg hunt will feature a pre-party with music, fun and games that will begin at 10 am. The egg hunts will begin a short time later with separate areas for varying age groups.

April 1: West Point on the Eno Easter Egg Hunt - Head to Durham for this egg hunt for ages 12 and younger. There will be crafts and games as well.

April 1: Easter EGGstravaganza (at the pool): Dive for Easter Eggs at the Homestead Aquatics Center in Chapel Hill! At the end of the event, trade those Easter Eggs in for a special Easter themed prize. Registration is $5 per person. You might even get to take a picture with the Easter Bunny! Designed for for children ages 1-7.

April 1: Spring Thing on the Southern Village Green: Enjoy live popular music, Pelican's SnoBalls, a bounce house, crafts, games and more on the Southern Village Green in Chapel Hill.

April 1: Touch a Truck at the Farmer's Market - The popular Touch a Truck event is back! Bring the kids to the Holly Springs Farmers Market on April 1st and let them check out a fire truck, police cruiser, and a TRACTOR!

Now-April 9th: Spring Fest: Egg Hunt with goats - spring Haven Farm is hosting egg hunts for several weeks. Kids can ride the tractor train, build unique crafts, shop at our general store for one-of-a-kind candy, play games under the pavilion and cuddle goats! Tickets start at $13.50.

April 2: Custom Poems by the Poetry Fox: Give him a word—any word—and he'll immediately bang out a poem for you on his typewriter, read it to you, and it's yours to keep. Tara Lynn's husband has had a chance to meet this fox and bring home some poems for the family. It was so fun! Get your own custom poem with this unique free event at the Cary Regional Library.
