coco cha café develops around atrium of glass blocks in vietnam

Architecture and interior design practice PT Arch studio takes over the design of CoCo Cha café in Vietnam, integrating atriums and skylights into the plan. Aiming for a classic yet modern composition emerging through the dense urban fabric, the creative group develops a minimal design focusing on the internal arrangement of the coffee and tea shop and merging several glazed structures with the built form. The project attends to the harmonic distribution of natural light throughout the interior while maintaining the open flow and circulation of the café space. The elongated layout is separated into four parts, the counter area, the stairway, the coffee space, and the storage area and restroom. All zones are interconnected through the open and planted spaces for a well-ventilated and light plan.

The interior layout evokes comfort and lightness through the green and naturally lit areas. The zones distribute minimal furniture and several cast-in fittings, such as the bench-like seating in the waiting area, to optimize the arrangement and convenience of circulation. The project by architectural practice PT Arch studio provides low-cost options and easy-to-maintain materials ensuring both accessibility and aesthetics. The sunny and warm climate of the area inquires a protected facade that will allow necessary light and ventilation through the structure. Glass block tiles combine both classic and modern elements, while the terrazzo tiles, the green hues, the aluminum panel, and the molding details complete the internal composition.
