I’m a Dollar Tree fan

NEVER underestimate your ability to create a cheaper alternative to expensive décor.

DIY master Shahla showed her TikTok followers how to make dupes for Anthropologie's $26 candlestick holders with a $1.25 version from Dollar Tree.

Shahla is known for sharing her favorite home décor bargains and tips for how to repurpose old items on TikTok.

She posted a recent video demonstrating how to turn Dollar Tree candle holders into ones that look exactly like Anthropologie's.

"I bought these candlesticks from the Dollar Tree because I was inspired to make something like these on trend," she says, referring to a picture on Anthropologie's site.

The Colorful Alabaster Candlesticks at Anthropologie are $26 apiece.

The stylish colored glass candle holders come in a variety of different sizes and shapes.

Shahla found similarly shaped glass holders at Dollar Tree for only $1.25 each.

She bought several different types of Dollar Tree products including a couple of their Glass Taper Candleholders.

Using multiple cans of Montana Glass Paint for $7.50, Shahla spray-painted the taper holders.

Her video shows the paint spraying on smoothly and with no visible droplet stains or splatters.

"I ended up loving how these colors turned out. I am going to incorporate these candlesticks into my Easter tablescape," she admits.

Excited by this fast and affordable alternative, viewers took to the comments to let Shahla know how beautiful this DIY turned out.

"Omg! I love this so much," one commenter said, while another wrote: "Better than the original."

Other viewers added their suggestions and tips.

"You can get the exact effect with clear glue and food coloring! You paint it on," a woman noted.

One viewer pointed out: "Thrift stores have tons of glass candlesticks you can reuse instead of buying from the Dollar Tree."
