She views the collection as "the enchantment found in the darkest of places, a symbolic representation of being a free spirit in a world of order and conformity." She adds, "poison ivy looks to the ritualistic celebrations of ancient folklore, where the plant was used for its strength and abundance; entangled into crowns, wreaths, and wands to bring luck & protection to the wearer."

Who doesn't love wide curb chains, stars and diamonds? For their 15th Anniversary collection, Jenny Klatt and Stephanie Wynne Lalin, the designers behind Jemma Wynne have combined all three into one 18K buttery yellow gold bracelet that harks back to different periods. These were times when the curb chain was at its height of fashion in jewelry—in the symbolic Victorian era, the cocktail parties of the ‘50s and the disco night spent dancing under flashing lights in the ‘70s. The stars add a touch of celestial magic and just the right amount of sparkle to what is sure to become 0ne of this decade's most iconic bracelets.

If you haven't heard of Gwen Barba yet, you are sure to be hearing this emerging designer's name soon. Her collection revolves around minimalistic shapes from nature. She then adds a dose of feminity and surprising elements. She is a bench jeweler who creates her own models and CADS and figures out the technical aspect of each design. Although these are pretty pendants on their own with vines and blossom and seedling motifs sprinkled around matte-finished shapes, they are bells, yes bells, that ring very lightly, not in a loud —turn it down sort of way. These are more melodious and a temporary distraction like worry beads when you have a stressful moment at work or in daily life. And they turn into a lovely holiday gift— particularly if you are familiar with the saying, "Every time a Bell Rings, An Angel Gets His Wings." Here left is the Lulu Bell is in 18K yellow gold and, right, the Blossom Bell is in 18K yellow gold with 14K white gold flowers.

Heavenly Vices’ Lock Stories collection of five different symbolic locks complements her existing collection of meaningful and sentimental jewelry. This ingenious necklace replaces a clasp with a fully functional combination lock with some of the most recognizable talismans and motifs from the Victorian era. Four free rotating rondels comprise the combination part of the lock and feature a word in the Roman alphabet, Victorian symbols and a Braille word that corresponds to the theme of the lock, in this case, Flor, Spanish for Flower, in a nod to the Victorian Language of Flowers. When locked, the rondels are scrambled, and only when they are lined up to spell the word will the key release. The flowers in this lock include a tulip for ‘declaration of love’, a pansy for the French ‘pensee’ which means think and came to mean ‘think of the giver’ or ‘think of me’ in Victorian times, a rose for romantic love and a forget-me-not for remembrance in life and then also in passing.

Jessica McCormack has an uncanny sense of how to create pieces that give a nod to the Georgian and Victorian eras and then are transformed into contemporary pieces that will endure. These collet rhodium plate settings for the emerald cut emeralds are fashioned in an 18th-century manner, but then Jessica lightens it up and has some fun with shape and brighter color settings in heart and kite shapes. These are elegant yet offer a touch of whimsy and a lot of movement and sparkle when worn.
