The Bizarre Way A Restaurant Serves Pasta Has TikTok Torn

Jun 18, 2023

Well, that's one way to use a wine glass.

Presentation is everything, and restaurants have certainly taking note. By now, we've seen meals plated and presented in nearly every way imaginable, or so we thought. It turns out that a restaurant in Deinze, Belgium, recently shared a TikTok that shows one of its pasta dishes being presented in a way we've never seen before.

In the video, you can see the waiter swirl a saucy pasta dish from a wine glass onto the customer's plate. But wait, the presentation isn't done yet! After pouring out the pasta, the waiter then flips the wine glass to dump a serving of grated cheese that has been placed on the bottom of the glass.

Although the unique presentation of the pasta dish lasts just a few seconds, the brief video has received over 14 million views on TikTok and has welcomed plenty of comments. Unsurprisingly, the comments showcase a bit of everything, from confusion to joy.

"Why isn't all pasta served this way," one user asked. Another TikToker shared this familiar expression: "Just cause you can doesn't mean you should."

One TikToker seemed way more concerned at the idea of the added cleaning involved. "WHY ARE WE DIRTYING SO MANY DISHES," they wrote. Another commenter chimed in on the matter of cleanliness, writing, "Imagine ordering a glass of wine and it's covered with cheese residue."

Are you as torn as TikTok when it comes to pasta being served out of a wine glass or have you already added a pair of stemmed glasses to your Amazon cart?
